Preparations Underway for Eastlake Male Youth Initiative Commencement 2021

Atlanta, GA, April 26, 2021 — Eastlake Male Youth Initiative (EMYI) will celebrate the accomplishments of the class of 2021 with our second annual Commencement and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church. The Commencement event is always a highlight of the Eastlake Male Youth Initiative program year. It will be a day of celebration, reflection, motivation, and gratitude. EMYI staff are actively planning an activity with the safety of EMYI students, family members and guests as our top priority.

Each year EMYI is committed to bringing a well known speaker for this special occasion. This year we are honored to have Dr. John H. Stanfield, former Ethiopia U.S. Ambassador Distinguished Scholar, University of Mauritius Senior Chair of African Studies SSR, world-renowned scholar, and Distinguished Professor, as our speaker.

On behalf of the EMYI staff and ambassadors, we look forward to celebrating this momentous occasion with our students and their families.
